Ira
Losco
21-year-old
Ira Losco then started singing professionally at 16 years of age with
the band Tiara.
Her first
entry in the International festival of the Maltese song
won the FIDOF award, this being an award for the most promising artist
and outstanding performance on stage, she also placed fifth.
In year
2000, Ira entered the Song For Europe Festival for the first
time placing both sixth and seventh with two songs. As a result, Ira
was guest on a variety of television programs. She also, became a resident
singer on Maltas most viewed television program, which is broadcast
every Sunday morning on the national television station. She is also
one of the most prominent voices heard on numerous radio jingles, mainly
martini, Yellow Pages and others.
Last August
she won first place in the Independence Festival 2001.
